9. OTHER IMPORTANT SCRIPTURES

Your Christian life should be a Spirit-filled life. You can have abundant life here on earth beginning at the moment you are born again. You start that life right away – you don’t have to wait to go to heaven to enjoy that life. You can have abundant life here!

John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full” (NIVUK).

When Jesus becomes your Savior, according to the Scriptures, your life is transferred out of the kingdom of darkness and the devil’s control and into the Kingdom of God’s Son, the kingdom of light! (Colossians 1:13) You are no longer in the devil’s plan for your life but can begin to walk in God’s plan. However, this does not mean you will no longer have challenges, trials and tribulations. It does mean that you will have supernatural strength and provision to overcome all of these things through Christ who strengthens you (John 16:33, Philippians 4:13).

Go to these Scriptures in time of need:

1. Isaiah 54:17

2. Psalm 55:9

3. Zachariah 4:6

Through these Scriptures you can talk to God in prayer. You can go to Him and say, “Lord Jesus, I am being attacked by the devil, but I have been obedient to your Word. Therefore, I claim these promises; please fulfill Your promise because You said, ‘Test me’” (Malachi 3:10-11). In Malachi 3 where God says “Test Me,” it is the only time in the entire Bible where He makes such a statement. You have a scriptural right to ask these blessings.

Scriptures that helped me in my spiritual life:

1. Healing:

Exodus 15:26 “… I am the Lord who heals you.”

1 Peter 2:24 “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”

You can claim these Scriptures when you are sick.

2. Prosperity:

When you desire to prosper, you have a right to become prosperous. The Bible doesn’t say that you have to be poor. All the teachings about Christians being poor are wrong.

3 John 2 “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”

According to this verse, as long as your soul is prospering through God’s Word and your walk is by faith in Christ, you have a right to be healthy and you have the right to be prosperous. However, I warn you – don’t make prosperity your god. There are many teachings about prosperity. You must make sure that the teachings are according to God’s Word. This will help you to keep it balanced. Always remember to put God first. When you put Jesus first you will prosper in your soul and then everything else will follow. Automatically, like the two small ducklings that follow the mother duck, prosperity and health will follow you.
